Three new colorways, just for the holidays

phydeaux limited edition holiday colourways

I love non-traditional holiday colors.  Don’t get me wrong, I really really love reds and greens.  And silvers and golds.  But I’ve spent inordinate amounts of time during the last two months thinking about a few colors for limited edition holiday semisolids.  More important, colourways that I think you will love to knit.

The three new colourways are (shown above, from left to right):  frankincense, sugared plums and candied violets.

Frankincense:  rich, resinous golden yellow.  Would be gorgeous on its own in a sweater, but also beautiful paired with grey or other neutrals.

Sugared Plums:  soft, vintage-inspired tea roses and dusty mauves.  A lovely lace cardi!  Or knit up  a shawl.

Candied Violets:  oh my, how I love these purples and violets!  So many shades creating incredible depth.  I’m knitting up an Asterisque Shawlette in this colourway and loving every minute of it.

I have a secret to share about these three colourways:  I designed them to work together – all three – in a colorwork shawl like Color Affection.  I loved the idea of that unexpected pop of buttery yellow with the more delicate  sugared plum and richly regal candied violets.  And if I ever have time to knit a Color Affection for myself … let’s just say I’m keeping three skeins for just that purpose.

These are limited edition colourways!  You can order them already dyed in caresse fingering weight or dyed on order on any Phydeaux base yarn, but only through New Year’s Day.

Funny, but before I read the description, my first thought was “Three Kings”. Beautiful!
