It’s so not too late for christmas

If you’re like me … you haven’t started your Christmas shopping yet.

(hangs head in shame)

But I have great excuses explanations!

  1. I started a new job!
  2. I was super sick in November!
  3. I have a long commute five days a week!
  4. I’ve been super busy with Phydeaux!
  5. I started a new job!
  6. 🙂

The sad truth is that the holidays are an insane, crazed time of year, regardless of what you have going on.  It’s true that I have a LOT going on right now and I really can’t wait for the holiday craze to be over.  But my guess is that YOU have a lot going on too.

And even though we’re both in big trouble for gift giving, the good news is that it’s not too late to knit up a quick gift or to give the gift of knitting patterns to your super cool and fabulously good looking knitting friends (because knitters are – simply – fabulously good looking).

In fact, I have a few recommendations from the Phydeaux archives, starting with the first photo at the top of this post:

  1. A fun and quick lace rib knit scarf, worked in an ombre or striped yarn:  looks super luxe and super cool!  The photo up top shows this worked in Be Sweet Bambino Taffy , an organic cotton/bamboo blend that is to die for.
  2. A super quick lace neckwarmer with graceful arches reminiscent of art deco style, perfect for any heavy fingering or light sport weight yarns (the photo above is worked in Manos del Uruguay wool/silk blend).
  3. Last, but certainly not least, the Phydeaux twist cowl worked in gloriously soft super bulky fiber is the ultimate Christmas gift.  A super fast knit that is seriously divine worked in Blue Sky Alpaca Bulky Alpaca (shown above), but equally divine in Twinkle Soft Chunky, Cascade Magnum, or any other super soft super bulky fiber.

Each of these patterns link straight to Ravelry for quick downloading, if you choose to order.  I didn’t link to my own site, because … (I’m building a new site that will launch in January, shhh!)

If I don’t talk with you before Christmas, HAPPY holidays!!!  You mean the world to me – I so appreciate your visits and support!  This has been an interesting and challenging year, to say the least, but so special thanks to you and others.  Thank you with a big holiday hug!
