Where to find thick and thin handspun yarn

I’ve been sharing my tips and tricks for buying and knitting with thick and thin handspun yarn and – hopefully – I’ve encouraged you to try my favorite handspun yarn for yourself!

But where to find?

There are many Etsy shops that offer thick and thin handspun.  You’ve seen my very favorites over time right here, but here’s my list of very favorites for you:

However, if you search for “handspun yarn” on Etsy, you’ll find piles and piles of beautiful skeins on Etsy. Really gorgeous stuff.
Also, you might be able to find thick and thin yarn at your local yarn shop, which may or may not be handspun.  Here are a few possibilities for you:
I’m considering putting together a workshop about knitting thick and thin yarn, with live videos, etc.  If you’re interested, let me know in the comments!

Brenda, I love the look of your thick n’ thin scarves. They look so soft and comforting.

I’ve used the Del Sur, the Aquarella (I agree–yum!), and some great yarn by Knotty Naomi. Will have to try the others, too.

Thank you Sharon – you won’t be sorry with the other handspun, they’re all winners! 🙂

My photographer friend Sarah wants me to make her some newborn bump blankets and she is going to hunt down the yarn she loves. They’re about 18″ x 20″ normally. Could you tell me how much she should order because I really don’t want to misinform her? I’m totally clueless. I will knit them most likely. Thanks!
