New crochet pattern: Couronne lace scarf

Congratulations to Stefanie for suggesting “couronne” (crown) for my latest pattern:  Couronne Lace Scarf crochet pattern!

Now that the weather is (supposedly) warming up, a long and narrow scarf of crocheted lace is perfect to dress up any outfit.  I think this would be super cute with your favorite denim jeans or trousers and a classic white teeshirt.  Or a flirty little dress.  Versatile!

I love these crocheted lace scarves using a single ply handspun or roving-like yarn.  The photo above uses Kitty Grrlz’ beautiful single ply handspun wool. (Any of Kitty Grrlz’ single ply handspun would work beautifully!)  Other suggestions include Noro Silk Garden or SWTC Karaoke.

Couronne is an “easy” level pattern and uses 100-130 yards of worsted, chunky or bulky yarn.  Make sure you have blocking wires and rust proof pins – blocking is essential to get those crisp points!

You can order Couronne and download immediately (no Ravelry account needed) – I’d love to see your finished scarves – leave a link to your blog or flickr or Ravelry photos in the comments!
