sneak peek: a new crocheted lace scarf

Good news for those of you who crochet – I have a sizable list of crochet ideas and here is the first!  This is a crocheted scarf in a fun lace, using Kitty Grrlz’s singly ply handspun wool (such beautiful colors!).  I need to work on the pattern (I have a more sizable list of patterns to work on!) but also need a name!

I usually hold name contests on my Facebook page, but let’s do that here on the blog this time!

You can enter as many names as you’d like in the comments below.  I’ll choose my favorite name from the bunch on Sunday, so enter by midnight PST this Saturday.

I do gravitate toward names with a slightly French twist (e.g., phydeaux!).  My other crocheted lace scarf pattern is named “dentelle.”

Winner gets bragging rights, credit on Ravelry, and the pattern!

Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

I would say “Couronne,” or crown in French. I’m reminded of a crown worn by royalty adorned with lots of jewels.

Couronne it is, Stefanie! I love that name – it’s perfect. 🙂 As soon as I finish the pattern – it’s yours! Thank you!

Since it’s March, why not an Irish name such as “Kiera” or “Mara”…maybe “Bree” or “Briana”

    Gorgeous colors!
