beethoven symphony #7

The most beautiful piece of music ever composed (in my opinion).  Think about this:  being deaf didn’t prevent Beethoven from writing and playing the most amazing, beautiful music, including this piece of genius.

Beethoven, symphony #7, allegretto, 2nd movement

(starts VERY soft – be prepared to turn down your speakers as it picks up in tempo and volume)

    Completely agree.

It is also my favorite piece of music.

I cannot hold back the tears no matter how many times I listen to it.

I only wish I could do one thing in my life that approaches the genius of this one of Beethoven’s many accomplishments.

I agree wholeheartedly, Brenda.. Thank you for sharing this visual..

And Lance, I am the same way… The first half of this allegretto also brings tears to my eyes and stills (elevates?) my soul, at least when I am in a quiet place where I can sit down and appreciate it. There’s something about the almost lone-heartbeat tempo and silence of the cellos/bases remaining at the core as all the music builds up and repeats and takes on others’ themes and then the most exquisite part where everything comes together… Pure genius.
