Stitches West had so much incredible, indie-dyed yarn and fiber that it’s a wonder I got out alive with the (way too much) yarn that I did.
In addition to Wool Candy’s beautiful yarn and spinning fiber, I picked up a few skeins from some of my other fave indie dyers plus two new dyers!
I love Becoming Art (click on the photo above to see the yarn details)! Lisa creates absolutely amazing colorways! Among the pretties now in my possession is Porcelain Tree in Vaquero (worsted superwash merino). If she had named this “brenda” she would have been right on the money: my favorite soft greens and pinks with creamy ivory.
I also love Pigeonroof Studios (click on the photo above to see the yarn details)! Krista is a local gal who creates lush, rich colorways that are a dream to knit. I added to my Pigeonroof collection two new colors and bases including three skeins of a gorgeous ocean blue in Cassiopeia DK (super wash merino, cashmere and silk, oh my!). Cannot wait to knit these up!
I, of course also, love Girl on the Rocks (click on the photo above to see the stitch marker details)! Karrie is a woman of infinite talents: spinner, dyer, knitter, and maker of extraordinary stitch markers, needle gauges, WPI tools, etc.! (I love my little bamboo sheep WPI gauge) I am now the proud owner of a goooorgeous orange, flame red, russet, persimmon sock yarn from Karrie in superwash merino/nylon. Gorgeous!
I’ll share the two NEW (to me) yarn dyers later today or tomorrow with you!
